Helping you find clarity, strength, and a way forward
A modern, personalised, and evidence-based approach
Working with Richard means collaborating with an experienced, doctoral-level psychologist who understands the realities of high performance, responsibility, and pressure.
Sessions are calm, private, and tailored — designed to help you think clearly, regain balance, and move forward with confidence.
Weaving together a deep understanding of evidence-based methods and decades of applied experience, each session is highly personalised: paying attention to what’s happening in your life and what’s making a difference as we progress.
Whether you’re managing stress, burnout, or complex transitions, the focus is on building clarity, resilience, and sustainable change.

About Richard
I work at the intersection of high performance and mental health — helping people find clarity, purpose, renewal, balance, and resilience.
Over my career I’ve supported people navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, grief, identity shifts, and major life transitions, as well as those seeking to optimise performance or rediscover meaning and direction. My background includes many years in sport and performance psychology, supporting athletes and coaches at national institutes, and mentoring professionals in leadership, healthcare, and education.
Before founding Aceso Psychology, I spent over two decades as a professor of psychology and researcher specialising in motivation, resilience, and wellbeing. That academic foundation continues to shape my work today — blending scientific depth with practical compassion.
If you think we might be a good fit, I’d welcome the chance to work together.
